چکیده
Background: To describe the clinical course of women with acute vaginal bleeding and a finding uterine enhanced myometrial vascularity (EVM) suspected retained products conception (RPOC) on ultrasound examination. Methods: A retrospective cohort study including EMV RPOC attending single tertiary medical center between April 2018 to May 2020. Women were identified from records clinics. Demographic characteristics retrieved women’s files. Results: During period nine met inclusion criteria. The preceding event in seven two was first second trimester abortions, respectively. Six (67%) uncomplicated operative hysteroscopy removal RPOC, (33%), had severe active due vascular malformations (arterio-venous malformation-1, pseudo-aneurysm artery-1, other malformation-1) treated artery embolization prior hysteroscopy. Conclusions: Work-up episodes following curettage or abortion should include color/power Doppler ultrasonography for detection EMV. Although most cases is benign sonographic that accompany disappear after present it might hint presence cause life-threatening during additional surgical interventions.
